Ireland is now home to over 70,000 Ukrainian refugees

The issue of finding accommodation for people fleeing here from Ukraine is still proving to be a huge challenge

The number of Ukrainian refugees living in Ireland now exceeds 70,000.

Up to 70,156 arrivals in Ireland have been recorded in the latest figures.

Anyone considering coming to the country is advised, at this time it is not possible to guarantee immediate accommodation.

They are asked to take this into consideration if travelling here.

The government states it's working urgently to bring new accommodation on board as quickly as possible.

Minister for Integration Roderic O'Gorman admits the situation is challenging.
