Men's sheds allow men of all ages and backgrounds to come together and participate in tailored activities and workshops.

An information session is set to take place next week over a proposed new Men's Shed in Co. Longford. Longford County Council recently held a meeting about the UrImpact project in Ballymahon, during which the need for a Men's Shed was identified. Men's sheds allow men of all ages and backgrounds to come together and participate in tailored activities and workshops.

An information meeting will take place on the 14th of January at 7pm in the Bridgeways Family Resource Centre, where attendees will be able to hear from representatives about their experience of other sheds. There currently are seven men's sheds across the county, and the facilities has been in demand across the region due to their mental health benefits. Organiser Brian Madigan says it's a place where people can connect and unwind:
