The IDA is seeking planning permission for the construction of a new Advanced Technology Building in an Athlone business park. The application calls for the demolition of the existing building on the site at the IDA Business and Technology Park in Garrycastle, Athlone.
Plans submitted to Westmeath County Council seek the construction of a new Advanced Technology Building, along with signage, car parking, bike parking and landscaping. An Advanced Technology Building is designed and equipped to support high tech production, analysis and research, and often host tech, pharma or production companies. County planners will decide on the IDA application in June.
