It's hoped that further road projects can come to fruition in county Roscommon. A section of the new N5 between Scramogue and Ballaghaderreen was opened by the Minister for Transport on Thursday.
The 7 kilometre stretch bypasses both Frenchpark and Sheepwalk. Meanwhile, calls continue to be made for the redevelopment of both the N60 and N61. Chief Executive of Roscommon County Council, Shane Tiernan says they will continue to push the department:
