There was an increase in visitors to some local heritage sites last year.
The OPW revealed earlier this week that 13.8m visitors visited its heritage sites across the country in 2024.
In Co. Roscommon, over 10,000 people visited Roscommon Castle whilst over 8,000 visited Boyle Abbey which is an increase on the previous year.
The Corlea Trackway visitor centre in Co. Longford, saw a significant uplift of 35% in visitors last year bringing the total to just over 19,500.
