The Head of the Shannon rowing event takes place today in Carrick on Shannon.
The event starts three-and-a-half kilometres downstream from Carrick on Shannon and proceeds to the Marina.
The events take place between 10am and 4pm today.

Waterways Ireland is notifying any vessels in the area to proceed through the area with caution.
