A number of local areas across the Shannonside Northern Sound region have received accolades at the 2023 Green Flag Awards.
The Green Flag Awards recognises Ireland's best managed Public Parks and Green Spaces.
Cavan Burren Park and the Mall managed by Cavan and Longford County Councils respectively won a Green Flag each for their parks.

Ballaghaderreen Community Garden and Knockvicar Organic Garden both managed by Roscommon County Council also won a Green Flag in the Community Awards category.
