Granard cottage to be replaced with 10 new homes, under council plan

The new homes would be built in four three-storey blocks, and they'd have a combination of one, two and three bedrooms.

Longford County Council wants to demolish a derelict cottage in Granard and build 10 new homes.

The cottage is beside the former Hourican's Hotel on Main Street, which has already been knocked down.

Councillors will decide whether the local authority gets planning permission, and the public can make submissions until July 17th.
