Gardai still making good progress identifying suspects in Ian McDonnell killing

Two men arrested this week were released in the last 24 hours without charge.

Significant progress continues to be made in the investigation into the death of Elphin native Ian McDonnell in Dublin last month.

The Roscommon man sustained serious injuries on the 23rd of January when he tried to stop his car being stolen and died in hospital five days later.

Two men who were arrested this week in relation to the incident have been released without charge.

Stephen Breen from the Irish Sun says significant resources are being put into the investigation, and Gardaí will be hoping to bring charges against the people they believe responsible…
