Gardaí have arrested a man in Roscommon following a substantial drugs seizure in the North of the County over night.
€180,000 worth of cannabis was discovered in Ballaghaderreen following a Garda search of a vehicle as part of operation Tara.
Gardaí attached to the Divisional Drug unit along with members from Castlerea Garda station stopped and searched a van late last night resulting in the seizure of 9 kilos of the drug.

The driver of the van, a man in his 40s, was arrested at the scene and taken to Castlerea Gardaí station where he remains in custody today.
The drugs have now been sent for analysis and investigations are ongoing.
