Drugs have been seized in two separate seizures in Longford town. Gardaí received reports of suspected drug possession in a housing estate last Friday, April 17th. A quantity of suspected cocaine was seized. The drugs will be sent to Forensic Science Ireland for analysis. Separately, following a search of a house in the Farnagh Hill area on Saturday, April 18th, a quantity of suspected cocaine and cannabis herb was seized. A man in his late teens was arrested and subsequently released without charge pending the submission of a file to the Director of Public Prosecutions. Investigations into both seizures are ongoing.
