Gardai are investigating a double care fire in Longford town centre.
The incident of criminal damage occurred close to the junction of New Street and Braeden’s Lane shortly after 4:30am this morning.
No arrests have been and Gardai are continuing their investigations
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this incident to contact them.
Any person who was in the area at the time is asked to contact Gardaí. Similarly, any road users who were in the Dublin Road, St. Mel’s Cathedral, the Market Square of the Bus / Railway stations between 4-5:30am and who may have camera (including dash cam) footage, is asked to make this available to investigating Gardaí.
