Gardaí in the Shannonside region are supporting the 'Stay Cautious on your Staycation' campaign, which has been launched in conjunction with the RSA.
The campaign is appealing to all road users to plan their route ahead of time, stay alert on roads and unfamiliar areas, and to take a break if you feel tired behind the wheel.
If visiting beaches, beauty spots and other public amenity areas, park safely and legally and make sure not to block access to emergency services.

They also advise that you don't leave any valuables in cars or any other vehicles.
