The Garda Commissioner is being urged to re-introduce garda patrols on bridges across the River Shannon - to address the recent spate of burglaries.
TD Michael Fitzmaurice says it's needed because of the amount of crimes taking place during the day in Co Roscommon and other neighbouring counties.
The Independent Ireland deputy says many of these burglaries appear to be linked.

He says Commissioner Drew Harris needs to take immediate action.
