Another €15.3m under EU funding has been allocated to the Shannonside Recreational Campus project in Carrick on Shannon. The announcement comes after the project received €3.3m this morning under the Large Scale Sport Infrastructure Fund.
The facility in Carrick-on-Shannon will include an athletics track, an AstroTurf pitch, sports arena, and a standard grass pitch. Sligo-Leitrim TD Frank Feighan has welcomed the news:
