The funeral of former Roscommon footballer Don Connellan is taking place later today.
The Hillstreet native passed away on Monday.
Don Connellan was part of the Connacht senior championship winning side of 2001 and held a number of coaching roles with University of Galway and Moycullen GAA.
He led the Gaeltacht outfit to its two Galway senior football championships, in 2020 and 2022, winning the Connacht club championship in 2022.
Roscommon GAA chairperson Brian Carroll described him as being a top-class gentleman and a true friend to so many.
Many former team mates have also been paying tribute this week, with Nigel Dineen describing him as a pure leader.
His funeral mass will take place at 12 noon, in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Moycullen with burial taking place afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
