Hundreds of people are expected to attend the funeral of the husband of a long-time Roscommon politician today. Paolo (Pablo) Roberto, husband of former Fianna Fáil councillor Orla Leyden, was in his 50s. He passed away last Sunday. Late of Castlecoote, Co. Roscommon and formerly of Ontario in Canada and Bari in Italy, he died peacefully on Sunday at Galway University Hospital, with his loving family and friends by his side. He will be forever missed by his wife Orla Leydon, his daughter Donata Maria, his extended family and friends. Mass of the Resurrection will take place in the church of the assumption, Castlecoote at 11 o'clock followed by a private cremation.
