The funeral mass of John Heneghan has heard of his success on the Gaelic football field.
The late Mr Heneghan enjoyed a sterling playing career with the county.
He was goalkeeper on the county’s history-making 1966 National League and 1968 Leinster Senior Football Championship winning teams.
A Ballymahon clubman, he served as team mentor and goalkeeping coach in the 1980s and was named in the Longford 'Team of the Millennium' in 2000.
