Funding earmarked for improvement works at Castlerea Swimming Pool

Castlerea Swimming Pool has been allocated 200,000 euro for improvement works next year.
It'll be spent on developing a new toddler pool and splash area.

A separate 118,000 euro has been set aside for running the facility next year - up 38,000 from this year.
This will allow the pool to open for 12 weeks next summer.
Local councillor Paschal Fitzmaurice says the improvement works should be finished by next June.
