Funding boost for community/voluntary groups in Roscommon

Roscommon County Council is making €25,000 available this year to each of the three municipal districts, under this scheme.

Community and voluntary groups in small towns and villages in Co Roscommon have been given a funding boost.

A total of €75,000 is being made available for them this year.

It's for community and voluntary groups.

Up to three projects in each municipal district will be funded this year.

The projects must benefit small towns and villages.

The money could be used for public realm improvements, public amenities, surveys, and other project types.

The main towns of Roscommon, Ballaghaderreen, Castlerea, Boyle, Strokestown and Monksland are excluded.

These details will be announced at today meeting of Roscommon County Council.
