A cabinet minister says Frenchpark in Co Roscommon has had a very difficult time with tragedies over the past year.
Des Deegan, 72, died in an explosion and house fire at his home in the Oaks on Wednesday night.

Only last month, Kitty Lavin, 89, died when she was hit by a truck while walking in the village.
