Four people in court after local drugs seizures

Four people have appeared in court this week following drugs seizures in Carrick on Shannon and Collooney.

A total of €40,000 worth of cannabis was seized on Monday night in Collooney when a Sligo Garda patrol stopped and searched a vehicle.

Two people were arrested and later charged in court.

In a separate incident Gardaí in Carrick on Shannon stopped and searched a vehicle and discovered €10,000 worth of cannabis.

Another two people were arrested and subsequently appeared before a District court.
