Former Longford rep demands return of town councils

A former local councillor says he would like to see the re-introduction of town councils.

Taoiseach Micheál Martin said earlier this year that he wants to re-establish town councils within the next three years.

There were 80 around the country, including in Longford town and Boyle, before they were abolished in 2014.
