Former broadcaster Bryan Dobson will officially open Boyle Arts Festival this evening. The opening parade kicks off at 7 o'clock from the top of The Crescent, before marking its way down to King House, where Mr Dobson will address the crowd.
The festival runs until Saturday, July 26th, and thousands of people will attend. One of the organisers, Sharon Tighe, says a lack of short-term accommodation in Boyle is a challenge:
