Midlands North West MEP Ciaran Mullooly says he also plans to raise the issue with Health Minister Jennifer Carroll MacNeill next week.

The Food Safety Authority is being called on to take steps over claims processed Brazilian beef is being used in school lunches here.

Brazilian beef could be banned from the EU from September, even if it doesn't comply with European rules on antibiotics use in animals.
