There's been a five-fold increase in the number of people in court in Longford for driving under the influence of drugs this year.
There were only 14 in all of last year - but that rose to 76 between January and October this year.
According to stats obtained by Ireland South MEP Cynthia Ní Mhurchú, there was a 133 per cent increase in Roscommon, from 9 to 21.
And they rose by 50 per cent in Carrick-on-Shannon, from 14 to 21.
