Emergency Services have been dispatched to Drumlish after a bog fire re-ignited earlier this afternoon.
Two Units of Longford Fire Service have just arrived to Bohey/Cloonaugh Bog close to Drumlish Village.
Local units attended the scene on Sunday night and put out the fire, but were forced to attend the scene again yesterday after it re-ignited and spread rapidly.
There were concerns yesterday that the fire could spread to local commercial forestry, endangering homes and farms.
Quick action by Longford Fire Services prevented that and extinguished the blaze.
Bog fires are known to burn and smolder underground, and can be extremely difficult to fully put out without heavy and prolonged rain.
Emergency services were again called to the site today following reports of the fire re-igniting.
