Fine Gael Senator Gareth Scahill says he's confident the party can win a seat following the next General Election in Roscommon. It’s now 14 years since they won a Dáil seat in the county, when Denis Naughten and Frank Feighan were elected in Roscommon-South Leitrim in 2011. The closure of Roscommon’s A&E that year was a major blow to the party locally. Senator Scahill who is interested in running for Fine Gael in the next election, says it's an exciting time for the party:
