Fianna Fáil have added Leitrim County Council Cathaoirleach Paddy O'Rourke to their General Election ticket in Sligo-Leitrim. He joins Sligo Councillor Edel McSharry and former TD Eamon Scanlon in a three candidate strategy in the constituency.
Cllr O'Rourke was re-elected to Leitrim County Council earlier this year, topping the poll in the Ballinamore Local Electoral Area. He says it was important that Co. Leitrim had a Fianna Fáil candidate on the ballot paper:
