A family fun day gets underway later this afternoon in Carrick-on-Shannon to celebrate new public realm works.
The event which is organised by Leitrim County Council and the local chamber marks the new look streetscape for the town.
Festivities begin at 1 pm on Main Street with a variety of activities planned, including a treasure hunt and a special performance by Music Generation Leitrim and Roscommon.

A range of demonstrations in arts and crafts will also be taking place throughout the day at the Market Yard and the Dock.
Parking for the event is available in the new car park to the rear of Main Street.
