A national fundraising campaign for family carers Ireland is being launched in Roscommon this morning.
Heart of Gold is asking people to walk 50 miles in June or to organise a coffee morning in their home, school or workplace.
The appeal is being launched in Hannon’s Hotel this morning and the campaign will take place on June 15th and 16th.

The fundraiser for the organisation will help deliver much needed supports to Ireland’s 500,000 carers.
Meanwhile the Tanasite Michael Martin will open the new Alzheimer Society of Ireland Daycare Centre in Multyfarnham this afternoon. It will offer a range of activities to promote cognitive stimulation and social engagement.
