Excitement is building in Ballymahon ahead of this Saturday's Irish Native Rare Breed Livestock Heritage show. Taking place between 12 noon and 6pm, the Irish Native Rare Breed Society initially floated the idea and enquired whether the event could be hosted in Ballymahon.
Among the breeds on show include Dexter cattle, Kerry cattle, Shetland sheep, Irish Cob horses and some pigs. Secretary of Longford Westmeath Farmers Mart, Patricia Carrig Brady says there's something for everyone:
