ESB says power should be restored to Roscommon, Ballygar and Glenamaddy by noon

ESB crews have been mobilised to restore power to over 12,200 customers in Roscommon town, Ballygar and Glenamaddy.

A spokesperson for the ESB says a fault fed through the network in Athlone has caused the outage which was first reported just after 9 o'clock this morning.

The areas affected include Roscommon town, Ballygar and Glenamaddy.

The ESB says crews hope to have power restored to the area by 12 noon.
