EMA admits there is a possible link between blood clots and AZ vaccine

There have been ongoing concerns about the Astra Zeneca vaccine for the last number of weeks over blood clots linked to the jab

There is a possible link between the AstraZeneca vaccine and blood clots, according to the European Medicines Agency.

The EMA's safety committee says unusual blood clots with low blood platelets should be listed as very rare side effects of the vaccine.

An EMA review examined 44 blood clotting cases which occurred among 9.2 million people who received the AstraZeneca vaccine across Europe. The organisation has published the findings of its review today.
