Electronic tagging of sex-offenders will be introduced in Ireland, under a bill being published today.

It will allow the gardai to monitor sex-criminals after they get out of jail.

Gardai will also be able to reveal their identity to members of the public, in some circumstances.

Rape survivor Debbie Cole says the Justice Minister's plans for tagging will make victims feel much safer.
