A woman in her 80s has died in a crash in Co Cavan.
Gardai are investigating the single vehicle collision in the townland of Monelty in Stradone, Co. Cavan at 10.15 this morning. The woman in her early 80s, who was the only occupant of the car, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Her body was taken to Cavan General Hospital where a post mortem exam is due to take place. The road remains closed as Garda forensic collision investigators are at scene.
