The Education Minister says the use of a garden shed for an isolation room is not best practice.

Norma Foley says there is engagement between her department and a school in Athlone over the issue, which came to light yesterday.

Minister Foley says spaces need to be provided so children can be isolated, not necessarily rooms.

And she insisted that one incident should not overshadow the efforts made by schools to reopen.
