€40,000 worth of cannabis has been seized in Athlone.
The discovery was made as part of routine operations at a premises in the town on Wednesday.
It's understood the package originated in Italy and was destined for Dublin.

Revenue officers examining the parcel seized over 2kgs of illegal drugs, including herbal cannabis and cannabis resin.
