The state will pay nearly 1 billion euro in social welfare to people who have 'long-Covid'.
That's according to Roscommon Independent TD Denis Naughten.
The Oireachtas Library and Research Service estimates about 115,000 people have had the condition, or will develop it.

That's 10 per cent of all Covid cases so far, and the illness normally lasts at least five months.
Deputy Denis Naughten says more support is needed for these patients.
