A €1.2m water sports facility is on track to open in Drumshanbo, Co Leitrim, this autumn. Outgoing Tourism Minister Catherine Martin officially turned the sod on the development at Acres Lake last September.
It will include toilets and changing rooms, for sailors, kayakers and other water-sports fans. Chief executive of Leitrim County Council, Joseph Gilhooly, says construction is going well:
