Mr. He Xiangdong visited the distillery yesterday and was accompanied by Minister for European Affairs, Peter Burke, to celebrate the launch of Drumshanbo Gunpowder Irish Gin in China.

The owner of The Shed Distillery in Drumshanbo, Co. Leitrim has spoken of his delight following the visit of the Chinese ambassador to Irelands visit yesterday. Mr.He Xiangdong visited the distillery yesterday and was accompanied by Minister for European Affairs, Peter Burke, to celebrate the launch of Drumshanbo Gunpowder Irish Gin in China.

Pat and Denise Rigney who are the founders and owners of The Shed Distillery, presented the Ambassador and the Minister with a special limited-edition Chinese Dragon bottle of Gunpowder Irish Gin to mark the occasion. The announcement is expected to create significant new local job opportunities with the company already employing over 100 people in Drumshanbo. Speaking to the Joe Finnegan show this morning, Pat Rigney believes the announcement gives another opportunity to future proof the business:
