Dog-fouling affecting wheelchair-users in Co Leitrim, claims councillor

There are calls for a new awareness campaign to clamp down on dog-fouling in Co Leitrim.

Drumshanbo councillor Brendan Barry says it's a problem throughout the county and is a big inconvenience for wheelchair-users in particular.

He's calling for all dog-walkers to carry 'poop scoops' and dispose of this litter appropriately.

Councillor Barry says it needs to be sociably unacceptable to leave dog excrement on footpaths.
