'Difficult' for public inquiry to solve Roscommon priest's death - former head of garda cold case unit

Yesterday was the 40th anniversary of the death of Fr Niall Molloy in Clara, Co Offaly - in the home of Richard and Therese Flynn.

A former head of the garda cold-case unit says it would be "difficult" for a public inquiry to solve the brutal death of a Roscommon priest.

His nephew, Bill Maher, is calling for a commission of investigation into the case.
