A decision on the outcome of an application for a Family Resource Centre for Longford town is expected by October.
That's according to Longford Senator Joe Flaherty, who recently met with Minister Norma Foley.
He was advised that there are currently 49 applications with Tusla, but only five applications will be successful.
The news comes as the local steering committee for Longford Family Resource Centre prepares to launch its needs assessment report tomorrow.
