A data storage facility should be developed in Ballaghaderreen, according to a local councillor. Micheál Frain says the Aurivo dairy plant pumps a large amount of water into a nearby river.
The Independent councillor says this water could be used to generate energy for a data-storage facility. He outlined his proposal at this week's Roscommon County Council meeting:
