Dáil hears of need for Longford Family Resource Centre

The Dáil has heard further calls for a Family Resource Centre to be established in Longford Town.

There are currently two Family Resource Centres in the county, one in Ballymahon and the other in Granard, with The Attic House in Longford town identified as a proposed location.

Earlier this year, it was announced that Dublin, Monaghan, Louth, Kildare and Galway are to gain new family resource centres.

Local Fine Gael TD Micheal Carrigy raised the need for one in Longford Town with the Taoiseach this week:
