CSO shows low uptake of Covid-19 Booster in the region

27 percent of people over the age of 12 in the Shannonside Region have taken a third Covid-19 Booster.

Those with weakened immune systems or who work with people with respiratory health issues have been urged by the HSE to avail of the Booster programme.

Figures from the CSO show that an average of 27 people between Longford, Leitrim and Roscommon have been administered a third Covid Booster.

While just 7 percent of people in the region have taken a fourth dose.

Nationally uptake of the vaccine itself stands at between 90 and 95 percent.
