Over 3,000 criminal offences were carried out in the Shannonside region in the last three months of 2025.
Figures published by the Central Statistics Office do show similar offences were carried out in both the Sligo-Leitrim and Roscommon-Longford Garda divisions.
In Sligo-Leitrim, theft and related offences accounted for the highest total with 162 recorded from October to December.

150 offences were filed under 'public order and other social code offences', while explosives, chemical weapon offences amount to two.
In Roscommon-Longford, meanwhile, 222 road and traffic offences took place across that period.
Similar to Sligo-Leitrim, theft and related offences were high, at 136 with just two firework-related incidents taking place.
