Leitrim County Council says capacity issues with gullies at the junction of Main Street and the Leitrim road in Carrick on Shannon will be resolved today.
It follows large accumulations of surface water in the area following heavy rainfall last night.
Leitrim County Council says it's in contact with the contractor stressing the importance of having this issued resolved immediately.

The local authority is being assured that the gullies will be cleaned out and restored to full capacity today so that surface water drainage incidents will not occur again.
