Clarity is being sought over the proposed relocation of a local An Post delivery service unit. The premises, located in Ballyhaunis serves many communities in west Roscommon including in Cloonfad and Ballinlough. However, it has been mooted in recent days that the 13 jobs at the office will be moved to Castlerea instead. While no formal decision has been made, it's expected to take place before the second quarter of 2026. Fine Gael Cllr Alma Gallagher says there is concern in the area:
